Trump Within Three Points Of Harris In New Hampshire, Tight Race Continues

President Donald Trump is gaining ground in New Hampshire, narrowing the gap with Vice President Kamala Harris to just three points, according to an Emerson College/WHDH poll conducted from Oct. 21-23. The poll shows Harris at 50% support among likely voters, while Trump is close behind at 47%. Third-party candidates receive 2%, and 1% of voters remain undecided.

New Hampshire, a state that has not voted Republican in a presidential race since 2000, is becoming more competitive than expected. Polling data indicates that Trump’s support has increased, particularly among male voters, while Harris continues to lead among women voters, maintaining a margin similar to Biden’s in 2020.

Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, highlighted these shifts, saying, “Harris’ margin among women is similar to that of Biden in 2020 — however, male voters have shifted about two points toward Trump.” Harris’ performance among independents also lags behind Biden’s, as she currently leads by only 13 points compared to his wider margin.

Voters in New Hampshire are focused on economic issues, with 34% identifying the economy as their top concern, and another 26% citing housing affordability. Trump’s campaign promises to address inflation and promote job growth may resonate with these voters, while Harris needs to solidify her support by tackling these economic challenges.

Other polls suggest Harris is struggling in key demographics. An Arab News/YouGov poll shows Trump leading Harris among Arab American voters, with 45% backing Trump and 43% supporting Harris. Harris’ campaign is reportedly concerned about her standing in critical swing states like Michigan, where Arab American and Muslim communities could play a crucial role.

With election day just weeks away, a Wall Street Journal poll places Trump ahead of Harris nationally, showing a narrow 47%-45% lead. This comes after an earlier poll in August showed Harris with a slight advantage.
