Trump Surges In Michigan, Wisconsin As 2024 Race Heats Up

President Donald Trump is gaining momentum in the key battleground states of Michigan and Wisconsin, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday. With Election Day drawing closer, Trump has surged ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in both states and remains competitive in Pennsylvania.

The poll shows Trump leading Harris 50% to 47% in Michigan, marking a three-point increase from a previous poll conducted in September. In Wisconsin, Trump holds a 48% to 46% lead over Harris. In Pennsylvania, Harris holds a slight edge with 49% to Trump’s 46%, making the state a key focus for both campaigns.

Voters were asked about their views on several major issues, and Trump outperformed Harris on nearly every one. On the economy, Trump leads Harris 54% to 45% in Michigan, and 53% to 44% in Wisconsin. He also scored higher on immigration, national security and handling crises, while Harris only held an advantage on abortion.

Despite a strong debate showing from Harris, she has failed to gain traction in the polls. Trump’s support remains steady, particularly on issues that resonate with voters in these critical states. In addition, Democratic mail-in voting has dropped in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, reflecting possible voter apathy toward Harris.

Trump’s momentum in these battleground states could prove decisive in the 2024 election, with his lead in Michigan and Wisconsin strengthening his path to victory.
