Roger Stone: FBI Unfit To Investigate Trump Assassination Attempt

In a recent interview with The New American, political advisor Roger Stone expressed his belief that the FBI is not suitable to investigate the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump. Stone, who has a history of studying political conspiracies, pointed to the agency’s controversial relationship with Trump as the basis for his mistrust.

Stone, known for his books on high-profile assassination attempts, argued that the Deep State has a history of targeting significant political figures. “They have successfully killed an American president,” Stone remarked, referring to John F. Kennedy’s assassination. “The truth about who tried to kill Ronald Reagan has never been fully disclosed to the American people.”

When questioned about the FBI’s capability to handle the investigation into the Butler, Pennsylvania incident, Stone was direct. “No, we can’t trust the FBI to investigate themselves,” he said. “We can’t trust the FBI to investigate the Secret Service, and we can’t trust the Secret Service to investigate the Secret Service. This Justice Department is too politicized to conduct an impartial inquiry.”

On Monday, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle faced tough questions from lawmakers on Capitol Hill regarding the security lapse. During the hearing, Cheatle admitted she had not visited the site of the attempted assassination nine days after the incident. Following the hearing, Cheatle announced her resignation, citing the agency’s failure to protect Trump.

In response to the incident, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) announced the formation of a bipartisan task force to investigate the security failures. Stone believes that only Congress can lead a credible investigation. “Only the House Republicans have the authority to thoroughly investigate this,” he asserted.

Stone had earlier predicted that the Deep State would stop at nothing to remove Trump, including assassination if other methods failed. He now views the recent attempt as part of this ongoing effort. “The coup failed. They didn’t bankrupt him. They didn’t keep him off the ballot in 50 states,” Stone stated. “There was only one other option… to kill him.”

Stone also voiced concerns about the reliability of Trump’s Secret Service detail, especially given the former president’s frequent public rallies. Comparing the incident in Butler to the Kennedy assassination, Stone said, “Many of the same violations of Secret Service protocol in Dallas were seen in Butler, Pennsylvania.”

As the House investigation begins, many questions remain unanswered. Stone emphasized the need for a thorough and transparent investigation to uncover the truth.
