Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz has revealed disturbing information regarding multiple assassination teams actively plotting to kill President Donald Trump. During an interview on Breitbart News Daily, Gaetz explained that there are currently five known assassination teams within the U.S., three of which are connected to foreign actors.
Gaetz, who had recently spoken with a senior Department of Homeland Security official, said the situation is dire. “I don’t think we have enough force protection around President Trump given the threat environment,” Gaetz said, warning that the security measures currently in place may not be sufficient to protect Trump from further assassination attempts.
The congressman pointed to a recent incident in West Palm Beach, where a suspect had set up near Trump’s golf course before being apprehended. Gaetz expressed concern that more such attempts could occur if stronger security measures are not implemented. He emphasized that three of the assassination teams have ties to Iran, Ukraine, and Pakistan, while two are domestic threats.
Gaetz criticized the diversion of security resources from Trump to other officials, stating that this leaves the former president vulnerable. He called for an investigation into whether the Secret Service is properly equipped to handle the threats Trump faces.
With two failed attempts on Trump’s life already, Gaetz urged Congress to act quickly to ensure the former president’s safety as the 2024 campaign continues.
