Massie Faces Fine For Video Of Democratic Flag Waving

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) faces a fine over disseminating a video of House Democrats rising in unison and waving Ukrainian flags Saturday. He posted the video on X, formerly Twitter, after the body approved $95 billion in aid for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

Massie posted the footage with this accompanying statement: “This is the U.S. House of Representatives under the direction of Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). Democrats are celebrating his total capitulation with no victory for securing our border.”

The representative on Tuesday revealed being threatened with punishment if he did not take the video down.

Massie didn’t budge. Instead he went back to Twitter to expose the surprising warning.

He wrote, “Instead of fining Democrats for waving flags, the House Sergeant at Arms just called and said I will be fined $500 if I don’t delete this video.”

The Republican then accused the Speaker of wanting to “memory hole” the controversial vote and Democratic celebration.

The left faces a sharp backlash for the embarrassing demonstration after voting to yet again send tens of billions of taxpayer dollars to a foreign power. At the same time, they completely ignored the fiasco that is the U.S. southern border.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) joined his party colleague in disparaging the sorry display of patriotism for another nation.

He likewise posted on X, “Ukrainian flags fly in the chamber of the UNITED STATES House of Representatives as they vote to send more of your hard-earned money to a corrupt foreign regime.”

He noted that Ukraine’s border with Russia is a top priority for congressional liberals, but “not ours.”

The vote itself was bad enough, and 112 Republicans stood against it. But when the timer expired on lawmakers making their decisions known, Democrats passed around small Ukrainian flags and broke into celebration.

One leftist was completely draped in a large Ukrainian flag as he voted for the package.

The waving of flags of another country violated House protocol. Rep. Marc Molinaro (R-NY) presided over the vote and called the outburst “inappropriate.” He was jeered by Democrats as he attempted to restore proper decorum.

And now Massie faces a fine for revealing the extent of the Democratic sellout to the nation.
