The Kamala Harris presidential campaign is making a concerted effort to attract Republican voters after receiving endorsements from a number of prominent RINOs. Former GOP Reps. Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney, along with Jimmy McCain, son of the late Sen. John McCain, have all thrown their support behind Harris over President Donald Trump.
These figures have long been critics of Trump and are seen by many within the GOP as Republicans In Name Only (RINOs). Harris’s campaign is hoping these endorsements will help sway moderate Republicans and Independents in her favor.
“We’re proud to see support for Vice President Harris coming from across party lines,” said campaign spokesperson Ian Sams. “Her focus on defending the Constitution and upholding American values resonates with many who feel left behind by Trump’s version of conservatism.”
The Harris campaign has launched a “Republicans for Harris” initiative, aimed at winning over moderate Republicans and Independents. A National Republican Engagement Director has been hired to lead the outreach.
Meanwhile, Trump’s campaign has received high-profile endorsements from former Democrats like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard. Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt dismissed Harris’s RINO endorsements, stating, “No true conservative would ever vote for Kamala Harris, who stands for open borders, higher taxes, and weak-on-crime policies.”
