In a strange twist for the 2024 election season, witches are attempting to stop President Donald Trump from returning to office through various spells and hexes. Yet, with Halloween behind us, many of these witches are admitting that their spells are ineffective, sparking online discussions about Trump’s supposed immunity to their magic.
On Reddit’s WitchesVsPatriarchy, witches shared their rituals, including “freezer spells” meant to block Trump’s success. But these efforts appear to be failing, as several witches report that Trump seems to be protected by what they call a “flimsy shield.” Some practitioners believe that the prayers of his supporters are creating a barrier that’s thwarting their spells.
"He has a form of protection surrounding him that feeds off of magic done against him". Tell me this isn't spiritual warfare??https://t.co/UazdwVbmop

One frustrated witch stated, “There’s a shield around him, weak but it works.” Others recommended focusing on spells to support Vice President Kamala Harris instead of directly targeting Trump, which they say only strengthens his supposed protection. Some even discourage hexing Trump entirely, believing it only empowers his resilience.

Trump has often spoken of divine protection, particularly after a narrowly avoided assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. His followers continue to pray for him, and some witches believe these prayers may be preventing their magic from working. To them, Trump’s survival is evidence of a higher power at work.
Witchcraft has been growing in popularity, especially on social media platforms like TikTok, where WitchTok videos draw millions of views. Former practitioners, however, warn against it. Jenny Weaver, who left witchcraft for Christianity, says her experience was filled with fear and darkness. Now, as witches express frustration over failed spells, Trump’s supporters credit his resilience to spiritual support, believing his protection is real and not easily broken.
