Allegations of political bias have rocked FEMA after reports that a supervisor instructed relief workers to skip Trump-supporting homes in Florida. Internal communications obtained by The Daily Wire revealed that Marn’i Washington directed her team to avoid homes displaying Trump signs in Highlands County.
The guidance reportedly left at least 20 homes without access to federal disaster assistance after Hurricane Milton. FEMA workers documented skipped addresses with notes referencing instructions from leadership to avoid certain homes.
To those lamenting the hatred from the right. To those fearing fascism, where government agencies treat certain citizens like, dare I say it, garbage. 👇🏻@DanaKennedyLive

Highlands County, a Republican stronghold, faced extensive damage from the storm. One worker stated, “I thought we could help make a difference, not discriminate against people.”
FEMA has since removed Washington from her position and launched an investigation. A spokesperson described the incident as “deeply disturbing” and said the agency is committed to serving all disaster survivors fairly.

The controversy has fueled criticism of FEMA’s handling of hurricane relief efforts. Whistleblowers claim the guidance undermines trust in the agency and damages its reputation for impartiality.
The FEMA story needs to be investigated. FEMA was skipping homes in Highlands County, Florida simply because they had Trump flags in their front lawn. The person who gave the order was Marn’i Washington. After the news hit, she changed her name on LinkedIn to Mariana Gatlinburg. pic.twitter.com/27LJrAXYXX
