Federal Secrets Task Force Begins Investigation Into JFK Assassination, Epstein Network

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is leading a congressional investigation into classified federal records, focusing on cases such as the JFK assassination, Jeffrey Epstein’s client list, and the origins of COVID-19. The effort follows an executive order from President Donald Trump, who has mandated the release of long-hidden government documents.

The “Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets,” established by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), will work to release information that has been withheld from the public for decades. Luna said the committee will focus on high-profile historical events, including the deaths of President John F. Kennedy, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

Trump’s executive order has given intelligence agencies a strict timeline to release these records. JFK assassination documents must be made fully public within 15 days, while additional records on RFK and MLK must be reviewed for release within 45 days. The FBI alone has identified 14,000 pages of JFK-related files, with additional documents yet to be disclosed.

Luna has voiced doubts over the conclusions reached by past investigations into Kennedy’s assassination. “I believe there were two shooters,” she said, pointing to inconsistencies in the Warren Commission’s findings. The committee plans to bring in witnesses who were involved in previous investigations, including medical professionals from Kennedy’s autopsy.

The task force will also investigate the Epstein network, with Luna and Comer already contacting agencies to begin the declassification process. Additional topics under review include 9/11-related documents, unidentified aerial phenomena, and U.S. government research into unidentified submerged objects.

The congressional committee will operate under the House Oversight Committee, with lawmakers working to ensure that records are fully declassified and made available to the public.
