Charlie Kirk Rallies Detroit Crowd At Turning Point People’s Convention

Charlie Kirk fired up the audience at the Turning Point People’s Convention in Detroit, urging supporters to take action to support former President Donald Trump. “Donald Trump is not here to save you,” Kirk declared. “You have to save Donald Trump to save the country.”

Speaking at the event, which was held a month before the Republican National Convention, Kirk emphasized the importance of grassroots political action. He told attendees that the convention’s goal is to spur real political involvement rather than simply entertain.

Kirk pointed out that the movement extends beyond Trump and addresses the fundamental structure of government. “We are told that we are a constitutional republic—not a democracy,” he said, expressing concerns that the country increasingly resembles an oligarchy.

Kirk explained that Trump faces numerous legal challenges because he has empowered ordinary Americans. “The reason why Donald Trump is facing 700 years in federal prison is because he has given you a voice,” Kirk said. He criticized bipartisan politicians for perpetuating failed policies and ignoring the will of the people.

The convention focused on practical steps attendees could take to boost voter turnout and support the conservative cause. Kirk highlighted the importance of registering new voters and ensuring they turn out on Election Day. He warned that failing to mobilize these voters could lead to another term for President Joe Biden, a prospect that drew boos from the crowd.

Other speakers at the convention included Donald Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, Steve Bannon, Jack Posobiec, and Lara Trump. The event featured over 100 training sessions on topics such as securing elections and starting Turning Point chapters.

Kirk concluded with a call to action, urging attendees to use their abilities to make a difference. “Duty is ours,” he said. “And the result is the Lord’s. We do our part, and we trust in God for the rest.”
