While Gates hasn’t confirmed the exact figure, he explained his motivation to the Times, stating, “I support candidates committed to solving issues like health care, poverty, and climate change in both the U.S. and around the globe.” Gates highlighted the unique importance of the 2024 election, particularly for vulnerable communities.
Melinda French Gates, his former spouse, has also thrown her support behind Harris by contributing an undisclosed amount to her campaign.
